The Moment on the Kitchen Floor That Changed Everything: Mila’s Story

The Wake-Up Call
🎯 The Moment
Mila was picking something up from a low cupboard — a completely ordinary task. When she went to stand back up, her body simply wouldn’t cooperate the way it used to.
💭 The Realisation
That moment forced her to confront something she hadn’t let herself think about. At 62, she pictured where this path was heading if nothing changed — and the picture she saw was a wheelchair, ten years from now.
“I felt like an elephant, couldn’t get up properly. That made me really think that I couldn’t continue like this — because in 10 years’ time, I’m 62 now, in 10 years’ time I will probably be in a wheelchair.” — Mila
✅ The Decision
She didn’t wait for the situation to get worse. She acted on it — and that decision brought her through the doors at Primal Mvmnt.
Why She Stays
Getting started is one thing. Staying is another — and Mila is clear about what’s kept her showing up.
Variety. Training never looks the same day to day, which matters more than people expect. As Mila put it, doing the same exercise every day would leave her bored fast — Primal’s approach keeps that from ever becoming a problem.
Camaraderie. Beyond the training itself, it’s the people. A room full of others who talk, laugh, and show up together — and Mila says she genuinely feels better for being part of it.
“One of the things is variety — we never do the same exercise every day, because I know I would be very bored with it. The second thing is the camaraderie. It’s really, really nice to have a group of people that talk with each other, that laugh — I feel much better because of it.” — Mila
